As I begin to suss out my capsule wardrobe, like any fashion blogger would be, I am weary about how to mix it up and not get bored with my limited closet. Enter the capsule wardrobe gal's best friend, layering. Baby it's cold outside here in New York, we're all sick of our winter coats come February. Instead of wearing your warmest coat everyday from November until March, try layering two transition coats. Here I've layered my tried and true black moto jacket with a camel wool coat. This coat is particularly good for layering because it has an open lapel, so even when buttoned and bundled all the way up, you'll still see a little leather peaking out. Of course you want to keep your bottom half warm too when it's this cold out, the thigh-high boots are definitely perfect for an extra layer of warmth. Public service announcement: don't forget to spray your boots with suede protector, for days just like this one.
