Furniture Craftswoman

We had a really hard time finding the perfect coffee table for our living room. Our railroad apartment is really narrow, so standard coffee tables, even rectangular styles, just wouldn't work. I looked EVERYWHERE. I bid on some lovely glass nesting tables at Housing Works, and lost. In the end I'm glad we didn't win, because the beautiful brass, glass topped tables would have changed the space dramatically. I also browsed benches, which were more appropriately sized, but couldn't find anything quite right.

The Goldie Locks of living room furniture decided to craft her own. I saw this photo over on decor8 and loved the industrial feel of the legs. So I did some googling and found these. Then, all we needed was a couple of boards (easier said than done in NYC), some stain, something to hold the boards together and some screws.

This coffee table is juuuust right.
