Wedding Wednesday (New York City Destinations for Vintage Engagement Rings)

I have had a love for vintage jewelry for as long as I can remember, so there was no question that I wanted a vintage engagement ring.  In my search I discovered some gems around the city.  Here are a few of my favorite places to browse for heirloom pieces.

112 West 25th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues)and open 9AM – 5PM, every Saturday & Sunday,
This seems like an unlikely place to find your engagement ring, and is the least probable out of the list, but I fell in love with the style of ring I went on to receive here.  There are a few vendors with fine jewelry on the second level and some great deals.

Doyle & Doyle
189 Orchard Street, NY, NY 10002
I have loved this store since I laid eyes on it six years ago when a friend lived right next door and I finally went in when my husband took me engagement ring shopping.  I found my perfect ring and a few months later he went back and got it for me.  We had a wonderful experience at Doyle & Doyle and I have sent several friends to shop for rings and jewelry since.

Showplace Antique Center
40 west 25th street, New York NY 10010
My husband and I also browsed here for my engagement.  Their styles are generally a little more
contemporary, but there are several vendors with different styles and eras of fine jewelry.  Also, a great
place to find a deal.

Pippin Vintage Jewelry
112 West 17th Street
This adorable little shop in Chelsea has a huge range of vintage jewelry, from fun broaches to amazing engagement rings.  Kyle and I also shopped here for my ring, the staff was extremely helpful and taught us a lot about what we should look for.

173 Elizabeth Street (between Spring and Kenmare Streets) New York, NY 10012
I own a non-vintage ring from Erica Weiner, but love all of the stuff in the quaint Nolita shop.  They have a plethora of styles, new and old, from victorian to deco, and the best part is that they have something in any budget.

De Vera
1 Crosby Street, New York, NY 10013 and 26 East 81st Street, New York, NY 10028I have never been to this shop, but a friend and bridal enthusiast, Jackie from Nearly Newlywed got her ring here and gave this unique shop ringing endorsements.

388 Van Brunt Street, Brooklyn, New York 11231
This shop is new to me, but was also recommended by the Jackie.  The perfectly minimal shop has a range of styles and prices online, and a long list of five star reviews.
