One of the things I really loved about the wedding was the paper goods. A lot of blood, sweat and maybe a few tears went into designing and creating the invites the programs and all the other paper details around the wedding.
First up the invites. I shared the DIY tutorial for the accordion-folded invitations
. A friend helped me design and personalize the guest's introduction to our wedding.
Then the programs. Of all my DIYs, I think I may be most proud of these. The booklets contained all the info pertinent to the wedding, a special message to our guests and a time-line spanning the bottom of the entire book chronicling our relationship. Each program was packed in a glassine envelope containing confetti to shower us with as we walked down the aisle.
is the DIY tutorial for the programs.
And the last detail to share, the flowers. We decided to save a few bucks by doing the table flowers ourselves. We ordered ahead from a flower wholesaler and picked them up on the eve of the wedding. Our moms, aunts and grandmas had a grand time filling the dozens of glass bud vases, that brought life to the tables and made for the perfect base for the glorious bouquets.
To say I loved the bouquets that
put together for us would be an understatement. I was obsessed! The colors in-your-face bright, exactly what I wanted. The shape and look was the exact amount of casual I was going for. And the ribbons were the icing on the cake.
Dee, you knocked it out of the park with floral perfection on these.
