Update from Upstate (Backyard)

We've not only been hard at work on the inside of our rental home, but also turning the back patio into a summer oasis.  Remember a few weeks back, I shared my inspiration here.  I think we have taken that board and turned it into a very happy reality.

We have an awesome covered area, which allows me to leave the pillows and cushions out without risking them being ruined after one summer.  We had a some good furniture that we moved from our old place, and the striped cushions I made last summer made for a great base, then I added a few new pieces, an expandable table from Ikea, and a fabulous (and affordable) chaise that doubles as a bench and a new set of chairs.  I layered those with the Moroccan lantern, Mexican blankets and tons of greenery to make a layered, lush space.

chaise: Target / lights: Target / Moroccan light: Urban Outfitters / table: Ikea / rug: Overstock / silver chairs: Target / yellow & white chairs: vintage / stripped planters: West Elm / blue planters: JoAnn Fabrics & Home Goods

Come back tomorrow, I'll be sharing the DIY simple macrame plant hangers.
