In case you missed yesterday's post, I listed all my must-haves in my dream kitchen and one of those items is a breakfast nook. Of course this picture perfect house also has a separate dining space, but in the kitchen, I want one of those cozy, built-in banquette corners, in front of tons of windows. This will be a place where my kids will color (just on the paper), while I bake them gluten-free, but super delicious cookies. This breakfast nook ties in seamlessly to my modern, but laid-back kitchen. The leather pillows complement the stools at the island and the midcentury dining set brings warmth to the black and white palette. The rug and the pops of color in the dishes marry perfectly.
