I have so many friends celebrating their first Mother's Day as moms, myself included. In these past three, short months, I have learned that we are all super heroes. We all work tirelessly to give the best to our families, whether that means going to a job or being a full-time mommy. Us moms have so much on our plates and so much to keep track of, and I'm quickly realizing that it having a crazy life will be the case from here on out. Doing the balance act of mom, wife, professional and personal will always be difficult. Some days will suck, sometimes dinner will suck, sometimes tantrums will happen, and sometimes the birthday cupcakes won't be finished in time. If you wake up every day and take care of your baby and give it your best, that's what counts. To all the moms out there, myself included, you are doing an amazing job. You deserve to be honored today, because the thing I've learned in the past three months is that this is the hardest job in the world, but his little smiles make it all worth it.
I am so happy to be celebrating my first Mother's Day as Oliver's mom. I promise to do my best everyday for the rest of his life, and that kind of commitment deserves a special day.
Happy Mother's Day, mommas!
