This past weekend we took a trip up to Cold Spring, the cutest little town about 20 minutes north of us. It is the perfect day escape for a New Yorker, especially in the fall, when the leaves are turning. It's right on the Hudson and walkable from the train, plus from there you can hike and there's even a little beach less than a mile away. For us, only being 20 minutes away, it's the perfect place to take a drive, get brunch and mill around for an afternoon.
And I styled the perfect layered outfit to enjoy the day bopping from antique shop to boutique to brunch. Layers, the key word for fall dressing. We had lovely weather, in the low 60s and sunny, nice, but obviously not hot. I layered a shirt dress over a tee and jeans and topped it with a leather jacket. This is the perfect way to get a little more wear out of a summery dress. Top with a felt fedora to take the look up a notch on the fashion scale.
