There's one corner of our house that hasn't really been touched since we moved in is a little office corner where Kyle has his desk. It's a mish-mosh of a beautiful old midcentury desk made of dark wood, a vintage tall wood file cabinet in light wood, a vintage industrial cart-shelf and a large red velvet desk chair. It's all vintage, but the pieces don't belong together at all. The worst of it is the desk chair. I like the lines, but that's about it. I'm not sure what I was thinking. Red is not a color anywhere in our house and it's too big to fit under the desk, so that is the first place I want to start when I tackle this mini makeover. Here are my picks for a new desk chair option. Which do you like? Think I'm leaning toward option 2, the wood is not a predominate detail, so it's not fighting the other pieces, and the white will lighten up the dark wood desk.
