Weekend Rewind

This was a wonderfully low-key weekend, which is perfect considering the next two are jam-packed full of family, weddings and adventure.

Friday I got last minute tickets to City and Colour concert in Central Park, so we started our night by checking out a new beer hall near the office Reichenbach Hall, with delicious beer and the biggest pretzel I have ever seen.  The show was great and the night was perfect.

Saturday, we watched football and had an easy dinner date.  Sunday was more of the same mixed in with chores, projects and cooking.  Rested and ready for a two day work week!!

Weekend Rewind

This was the perfect weekend to pull me out of my slump.  One of my very best friends, who can always make me laugh, came for a visit.  And laugh we did!  I took her all around the city, from dinner at The Spotted Pig in the West Village, to drinks under the Brooklyn Bridge at Beekman Beer Garden.  Then we ran the Park Avenue City Streets before we boarded a sailboat to cruise the Hudson.  And I still had a little relax/craft time on Sunday.  Check my Etsy shop soon for the little project pictured below.

Weekend Rewind

Here is the late edition of this weekend's happenings.  I took Friday off work for the perfect three-day weekend.

I spent Friday morning by myself.  I went to The Met to see the fashion exhibit, Punk: Couture to Chaos.  The exhibit was pretty great, but I was more enamored by how empty the museum was.  I got there just after it opened, and it was almost erie how quiet it was.  The halls were empty, the was almost no one on the roof and I got to walk the Punk exhibit leisurely; it was truly a lovely New York experience.

Friday afternoon we drove about an hour upstate to Clarence Fahnestock State Park to camp the rest of the weekend.  There was a lake, great hiking, marshmallow roasting, good friends and even a dog with a backpack!  Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
