Our Holiday Cards with Minted

This is our forth Christmas ordering the beautiful cards from Minted.  We love the fresh designs they have every year and the fun options including foil print.  Best of all, they are still offering free addressing!  I mean, if there's something FREE that can save me a slew of time, I am all about it!  Here are the sweet cards we choose this year.

We also love the timeline backer, it's a lovely way to tell the story of our year, especially with how exciting our last two years have been!

Just for fun here are our 2014, 2013, and 2012 cards.

Oliver's Birth Announcements

Minted is giving 15% off all kids products and wall art until tomorrow, used the code "HAPPYSPRING."  Pop over and place your order!

Vintage Chair Makeover with Minted

Did you know that

Minted

, the custom stationery company, now does

fabric

!?  Just after created my

baby room inspiration boards

, actually maybe it was before, I purchased the first piece of furniture for the room, the mid-century modern rocker.  A craigslist find for $30!!!  Similar chairs online are going for close to $1000!!  Though the chair has great bones, the fabric left something to be desired.  The cushions were covered in a 70's-looking deer print.  I searched high and low for the perfect fabric, then I discovered that Minted has a

HUGE fabric selection

!!

Here are Oliver's thoughts on the before of the chair.  Then I chose the

Irregular Herringbone fabric

and got to work with the makeover.  I think the project took about three yards.  A vast savings from the hundreds I was thinking of spending on

this chair

.

For a sewer like myself, the project was fairly simple, I used the old cushion cover as a pattern.  Added piping and a zipper, since we know all kinds of baby things will be happening on this piece of furniture.

After, Ollie was much happier, and mom too.  I think the subtle graphic pattern suits the room perfectly without being too loud and this fabric choice could eventually work for a girl's room too.

Aside from fabric, Minted also does art prints.  This

Heirloom Apple print

was on my initial inspiration board and became the centerpiece for the graphic, New York-themed baby room.

More nursery details to come.
