I can't believe we made it to 900 posts!  Too bad the 1000 mark didn't correspond with the holiday season, that would have been a much more appropriate Clark Griswold number.  Guess I'll have to come up with something equally as awesome in a few months.  Thank you visiting my little corner of the internet and thank you for keeping me inspired enough to make it here.  Can't wait to see what's to come in the next 900!  Cheers!

Viva Italia!

It's back! Italian class starts again today and my love for all things Italia is still going strong.

Today's reason to love Italy is a very special movie star, Sophia Loren. In a Kardashian world, Ms. Loren still shines. Dancing and singing her way through the movie musical, Nine, just two years ago, Loren showed the world at the ripe age of 75 you can still be fabulous. I really need to put a few more classic Sophia Loren movies on my queue.

Bill Cunningham New York

You must see this movie! If you like clothes, New York or cute old men, you must see Bill Cunningham New York! DeSmitten and I caught a sold-out showing on Sunday afternoon at the Film Forum. I didn't know much about Bill Cunningham going into, just that he was the style photographer for the New York Times. I didn't know that he is 80 years old, or that he has been doing his work for 40 years. I didn't know that he his such a simple man that has lived in the same Carnigie Hall studio for the better part of his life. There is so much to learn about the fantastically sweet New York legend, the man behind the camera who does what he does solely for the love of clothes. Learn more here.

If you live in New York, you better hurry, because it's only showing at the Film Forum for one more week.
