Outfit Idea // Blogger Mom

Sometimes I'm a "mom blogger," but I'm always a blogger mom.  My life takes takes me from commuting professional to toddler mom.  It's always a mad rush from here to there.  But a life I have embraced, loved and leaned into.  This is all the more reason why I am on my quest for a capsule wardrobe.  I hope to find the perfect combo that works for me, always leaves me feeling chic and put together, but takes me from working life to mom life.  Furthermore, I hope that once I hone in to find this wardrobe to inspire other working mamas (or just mamas, or just professionals).  Lately I have been loving the assortment at Tobi.  They have lots and lots of styles that suit a variety of lifestyles.  I am love love loving this chic and easy open back top.  It is so perfect to take me from my day job life to home life.  It could not be more comfy, but the open back detail also makes it chic and little bit sexy.  More versatile pieces like these are essential to every woman's wardrobe.

I've paired the top with my new favorite "mom jeans," which are super duper affordable from Levi's, called the Wedgie Fit.  I am also wearing Chloe sandals I've been obsessing over for years that I found on eBay and a vintage bag that once belonged to my grandma.

Outfit Idea // Layered Jumpsuit

Dressing for these transitional days is such a challenge.  It can be warm in the sun and cold in the shade.  No better way to deal than to layer up.  Today I've styled a jumpsuit, as a casual weekend look.  I've layered this Tobi jumpsuit over a classic turtleneck and paired with my metallic kicks.  Alternatively, this garment does double duty, you could dress it up with heels and wear it out to dinner.  The side cut-outs make for a special detail and show a teeny sliver of skin.  I particularly like the jumpsuit here, warn with a vintage necklace, a casual beanie and a moto jacket, because the sun could sink behind a cloud at any given second.  What's your favorite transitional piece?

Outfit Idea // All (winter) White

One of the few New Year's resolutions that I've actually stuck to is working toward my capsule wardrobe.  My strategy hasn't been to narrow straight away, but to experiment with versatile pieces in order to come to a chic edited wardrobe.  All white looks, especially for winter are the new black.  Well, maybe that's not quite true, especially for us New Yorkers, but all white looks are on trend, and still totally classic.  For this look I paired a vintage fisherman sweater with my white jeans, normally saved for spring.  These pieces could be paired with white sneakers for an easy weekend look, but these snake booties take it to the next level.  I'm usually one for color, but I love how my lip and sunglasses are the stars of the look with this monochromatic outfit.  Keep scrolling to to shop the post.
