Dressing for these transitional days is such a challenge. It can be warm in the sun and cold in the shade. No better way to deal than to layer up. Today I've styled a jumpsuit, as a casual weekend look. I've layered this Tobi jumpsuit over a classic turtleneck and paired with my metallic kicks. Alternatively, this garment does double duty, you could dress it up with heels and wear it out to dinner. The side cut-outs make for a special detail and show a teeny sliver of skin. I particularly like the jumpsuit here, warn with a vintage necklace, a casual beanie and a moto jacket, because the sun could sink behind a cloud at any given second. What's your favorite transitional piece?
One of the few New Year's resolutions that I've actually stuck to is working toward my capsule wardrobe. My strategy hasn't been to narrow straight away, but to experiment with versatile pieces in order to come to a chic edited wardrobe. All white looks, especially for winter are the new black. Well, maybe that's not quite true, especially for us New Yorkers, but all white looks are on trend, and still totally classic. For this look I paired a vintage fisherman sweater with my white jeans, normally saved for spring. These pieces could be paired with white sneakers for an easy weekend look, but these snake booties take it to the next level. I'm usually one for color, but I love how my lip and sunglasses are the stars of the look with this monochromatic outfit. Keep scrolling to to shop the post.

Confession, this is the second leopard coat I have owned. I never fancied myself as an animal print gal, but many years ago, I stumbled upon the most fabulous, Mary-Tyler-Moore looking vintage leopard coat. The silhouette was so perfectly 60's and I loved wearing it with the red beret I wore at the time. Like all the best loved coats, I wore it out! Last year I found it's predecessor, on super sale at Banana Republic. The modern cocoon shape and moto style zipper give it an updated look. Sadly this exact style isn't available anymore, but I have rounded up ten other fabulous options under $200 to shop!
