What's Coming (2014)

While 2013 was great, there are already so many many wonderful things to be excited about in 2014.

I already have a niece, and in January my brother and sister-in-law will be having their second, the first boy!

Then a few weeks after that, Kyle and I are visiting a new continent, Africa!  We are doing a travel tour around South Africa and a safari.  Can't wait to escape the winter blues for the exotic destination.

After eight years of living in New York City, and taking the subway everyday, we are taking the big step of buying a car.  It's going to be amazing this summer to have the freedom to take little adventures and explore even more of the East Coast.

I mentioned a while back a friend asked me to lend a hand to style her wedding.  This project is shaping up to be such a wonderful experience that it may not be the only wedding I do.

and the big news... we are giving up apartment life, at least New York City apartment life, and moving to the burbs, Westchester County, in search of a little growing room, a bathroom larger than 2' x 6' and the dream, in-unit laundry.    You know what else that means...decorating!

In the coming months you can also look for some changes in the Undeclared Panache world.  I think 2014 is going to fun and exciting year!  Thanks for visiting this little corner of the internet and following me through my adventures.  Cheers to 2014!

A Year in Review (2013)

A few weeks ago we were writing our holiday cards and stopped to think about what we did this year, and we couldn't come up with any important updates to speak to.  We got married in 2012, so 2013 seemed a bit dull, yet we were always busy, working and trying to enjoy life as newlyweds to the fullest.

It took me more than five years, but in 2013, I think I finally found my blog groove.  I started weaving my blogger-network web and I got my Etsy Shop up and running.  Below are few other highlights from the year according to Undeclared Panache.

I continued learning by attending my first Alt Conference, and taking a photography class.  And DeSmitten and I hosted our first blogger event.

In 2013 we shared many many DIY projects.

I attempted to capture the year by photographing my shoes everyday.  "Shoes of the Day" was a fun little project, but I can't say I'm sad it's over.  Now I have some ammo to clear out my shoe closet of any pairs that didn't make it into a single photo.

I was lucky enough to travel for work and pleasure to three new states, Texas, Washington and Louisiana, and to three new countries, Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.

We also threw/styled several fun and fabulous parties.

2013, you brought me to the last day's of my 20's.  We watched friends and family get married and said goodbye to a few who left New York.  We traveled and we worked really hard.  Good bye 2013, you were a great year.
